Welcome to Survivor: ATRL Edition (Season 6)!
Here on ATRL, Survivor has been home to five previous seasons deeming four respective winners (borntodie, Adr, -brian, Yvess, & Element). Now it's time to begin the sixth installment of the Survivor franchise that began about four years ago in 2012.
How does the game of Survivor work?
The Game:- If things go as planned, 24 contestants compete in three tribes of 8.
- Each round up until the Merge is quite simple to complete.
- Each round will contain a theme in which the contestants send in a song that fits.
- The judging panel then rates your song on a scale of 1 to 10 based on how well it fits.
- You as well as your tribe members' scores are tallied up then averaged into one final number.
- The tribe with the lowest overall average then heads to Tribal Council where one member is voted off.
- The process repeats until 12 of you remain (called the Merge) where your challenges become more complex.
- The top 12 contestants become a part of the Jury where they eventually vote for the winner when only 3 castaways are left standing.
Reminders:- We give the contestants 24 hours to send in a song (although it often takes less) during the beginning rounds.
- That may sound like a short amount of time, but all you are doing is sending a song with no explanation required. Some rounds you'll submit within a couple minutes. Others you may have to think for a little while.
- If you are a member that is often banned and want to join, only join if you plan on not getting banned during this process.
- Double eliminations will happen to ensure the game keeps moving.
- Anyone can sign up regardless of how many times they have played previously.

The Application:
Below is the application for this season. This is not meant to be a novel when completed. It is just meant to get a feel of your personality, your interest in playing, and your music taste. You will answer four questions along with sending a song in for a demo round that will give you all a slight taste of what playing Survivor is like.

Introduce yourself. What are you like? What qualities do you like about yourself? Just a short intro into your personality, since social clashes are a big part of Survivor gameplay.

This is where you praise everything about my tournament. Just kidding. What makes you want to play this season of Survivor? What looks fun to you?
3. Have you played in any tournaments before?
ATRL is home to many tournaments besides this one. Have you played in any? If so, how'd it go?
4. What's your music taste like?
This game is all about music. What do you like to listen to? Fave artists? Albums?
5. Demo Round
Each round in this game will have a theme. Then you'll send a song that fits the theme. We'll be mimicking this for the application process. Along with answering these four questions, send me in a song you would describe as....
Cocky
This is a lot more general than actual rounds will be. But, I want to start off with something simple before we get into more specific gameplay. The song you choose to submit along with your app should be all about being the best. Your artist should be bragging about their looks, their wealth, etc, The more conceited the song, the better. It's a very simple theme so we do expect some spot on entries. You do NOT have to explain your entry nor will you do so in actual rounds. I literally just want the song title.

There will be a specific way in which the panel decides which 24 of you play this season. That will be explained later. For now, sign-up and get started on those apps! You all have 48 hours from now to sign up. Applications will be due one day after sign ups close so there is no huge rush. I just want to give everyone the opportunity to start now.
