This song is meant to be depressing, and the message is all too relatable for many people. For anyone who has found themselves in a relationship before that they always felt they were just being an inconvenience to their partner, then this song is here to tell you that you are not the only one who has ever felt this way. Lori has a way to exert her emotions so strongly, and the simplistic background production only adds to the overall feeling of sadness and abandonment of the song. It is beautiful, and Lori continues to shine as one of the best songwriters of our generation.

Country's newest star released a stellar debut album and managed to release 14 tracks of pure gold. Not a single track on the album is filler, which is rare, and each track could potentially be released as a single. Marren has a subtle bad-ass vibe to her, but you would never guess since it's hidden so well in the album. The album almost has a soul appeal to it, and Marren is able to mix sad with sexy, smart with funny and serious with somber. Overall it is a great debut album, and is a sign that Marren has so much more to offer.

Drakes singing voice is so sexy, is it weird that this song turns me on just because of hot smooth and hot his voice sounds? Rihanna as well just sounds so sensual on this track, and for some reason this song gets me in the mood a lot. Regardless, this song was a great collaboration and I am not even gonna hide the only reason this song is on the list is because of bongo-like drums in the production. This is Rihanna's first of three entries on this years list.

Still sad that this is the only song Carrie Underwood is on that hit number one on iTunes, but a number one is a number one. This mash-up of three country iconic hits sounds bad on paper, but actually is one of the best things to come out of country this past year. The harmonies of all the musicians on this track blend together quite nicely. Shane McAnally did a fantastic job of making sure that it was not a disaster, and every artist got their share of the spotlight rather than giving a majority of the track to just a few selected artists.

When the song was first released I remember thinking to myself.. "This is it? Why was it so hyped up?" but after hearing it everywhere (literally could not even go to the bathroom without hearing it at least once in the bathroom radio) I learned to appreciate the simplicity of it. For a dance song, it's a lot more relaxed and laid back and that's the natural appeal of the song. While it is generic, it gets away with it because Rihanna's delivery of the song is able to add a little bit of needed personality to the track.
