But there would be no point in giving him WP's for lying. People who lie embarrass themselves enough. They don't need anymore of a consequence than that.

If his lies were too outrageously over-the-top to ever be taken seriously by anyone, I would agree with simply ignoring him. But dude is clearly being inflammatory with his posts. I think he crossed the line in the thread about Gaga's non-existent emergency. Some things shouldn't be joked about like that.

Um, as much as I want to agree with you, that would be unfair to ban/warn him for lying. If we're going to do that, we might as well warn/ban people who uses fake pictures in the Post Your Pics thread.

Everybody on ATRL is guilty of lying at some point. If everybody was warned for lying, then I doubt 99.9% of the active members would be here today. My advice would be to just ignore it.

It's only the truth, and some people pose their pics using less known celebrities, or foreign celebrities that they know ATRL members wouldn't follow/know of. But like you said, giving warning points for lies is pointless. If someone says they have a PhD here, or an assistant for some big celebrity, then so be it. However, them lying thinking they're impressing us, is only making themselves look like an idiot.
