Taylor Swift's story is basically the story of everyone, with Her amazing universal themes (yet pinpoint specificity, which is possible because she actually writes Her music unlike others), which is why everyone is able to love Her masterpieces.
I've been wanting to talk about this for quite a while.
Taylor Swift is the stereotypical young woman with relationship problems. Everything revolves around this stereotype... gossiping with her female friends, having sleepovers, crying, eating food that's considered bad, writing songs, and crying some more. So yes, if you're a miserable girl suffering from heartbreak and a "nasty man that treats you badly", then yes.
I can just imagine her being the type of girl to carve her and her boyfriend's name into a tree with a heart and arrow.
I like the girl's songwriting but I've slowly realised that it all seems too stereotypical for my liking, hence why she's so popular. She's relatable because every woman understands and/or idolises everything Taylor is, as a person and artist.
She's the modern Cinderella and frankly, it makes me sick. I wonder if that's the real Taylor Swift.
I like her songs and I think she's a bright person but I can't really relate to her lyrics much (besides a few like "Never Grow Up"). She seems to perceive relationships in this very gaudy, idealistic way and that's just not me.
I mostly use her songs because she's such a skilled melodist.
