A majority of members on pop music forums are male, with only a minority of the population being female. I don't quite understand why. Females love pop music and follow pop culture just as much as the males on a forum like this do, unless we happen to be more analytical over things? Why is it that they don't participate as much on pop music forums?

It wouldn't be called "pop music" if it was only made for a select demographic in society. Pop music is meant to apply for all: male, female, gay, straight, bi, transgender, black, white, mixed race, asian or whatever. Popular music and culture appeals to a wide demographic. It is something that most people enjoy in some way or another. Sexuality really shouldn't come into it.
