Katy Perry extends her lead for the most No. 1s in the 16-year archives of the Adult Top 40 chart, as “Wide Awake” lifts 3-1. The song is Perry’s seventh Adult Top 40 leader, pushing her further ahead of Maroon 5, Nickelback and P!nk, who are tied for second with five toppers.
Perry has notched her record sum of No. 1s in slightly more than three-and-a-half years, having first led with “Hot N Cold” the week of Dec. 27, 2008.
