... will start in a few minutes. Tonight, 50-45! And I'll be back with the first song tied for 50 (hint: it's really not very good at all)
Again, the rules: the list is taken from each individual member's top 50 or 100. Of their whole list, their top 20 songs are counted. These songs are ranked according to a simple point value - a person's number one song has 20 points, their number 20 song has one point, and everything in between is between 2-19 points.
I received NINETY-ONE top twenties. So, that's why I was counting for approximately two months. It was not a very fun ride, especially once I saw the way the list was turning out.
It is a very interesting list - which is not to say that it's good, per say. Just very accurate to the tastes of all the members here: sometimes sublime, sometimes horrendous, mostly mediocre.
And now, for a song that certainly does not have a Pitchfork review to go along with it ...
49. Aly & AJ - Potential Breakup Song
These two don't believe in evolution, and they also don't believe in letting a great pop song pass them by! Simply staggering in its efficiency (and double choruses!) it's almost as good as a very good Girls Aloud song. Well done robots!
I love how the pretty one sings lead! The 60s will never die!
