Dead artists more respected than living ones: why?
I never really understood this. Everytime an artist dies, they suddenly become more respected by the industry and the GP.
For example: Just before MJ's death everyone thought of him as a pedophile but when he died everyone seemed to forget that ever happened. Same with Whitney, I specifically remember the media dragging her vocals literally days/weeks before she died and then once she was gone it's only been about how great and amazing she was. Mariah has become the laughing stock of the GP yet once she's gone everyone's gonna act like they always adored and respected her.
I wonder when one of ATRL's faves dies if their haters will suddenly love and praise them once their gone. It's kind of a conundrum. Why does dying all of a sudden change people's entire opinions of people, especially celebrities and musicians? It's pretty hypocritical no?
