Sure, the remix is inferior to the original and it ruins the vibe, but it's still a good song in its own right and gave Lana a smash hit that her own unique sound wouldn't be able to get her. Everyone involved won and benefited. What's the big deal?

People make remixes all the time though. You don't need to have any kind of "nerve" to remix a song when you're a DJ.
