All these songs are fine examples of personal, stripped, emotional, honesty moments on issues that fans can truly connect with.
My main problem with Gaga. I get she's a popstar but why does she never do ballads? I mean.. How are you gonna have an album named "Born This Way", call it album of the generation and don't have any diversity? Am I the only one tired of Dance Gaga? Why can't she go back to songs like "Fooled Me Again(Honest Eyes), Second Time Around), hell even No Flood. I just can't feel her music sometimes. Its getting tiring and frustrating cause when she does it, it almost always **** on the original.(Example being Hair & MTN acoustic) She's always preaching about how much of an "artist" she is. Yet none of her songs with the exception of a few feel like they live up to that standard. I get more connection, emotion & feeling from Kesha's Harold Song than I do some of her songs. Yes I get the lyrics to some of her songs can easily be done acoustically but why does she never put them on her albums? I feel like everything she does has to with her star persona somewhat. Even You & I feels abit dressed up. Does she ever have an honest moment that isn't Gagatized? I don't get it. Sometimes I don't feel like Popping my ******* and need something deeper from "the album of the generation" rather than a Gay Parade Anthem.

I agree. She needs an emotional ballad. Speechless doesn't really count.
I wanna hear emotion in her album tracks. She does it well live, but not on tracks.
I mean, what if Hair was a ballad on the album. Would it hurt that much? It'd make a perfect emotional ballad.
She does ballads.
She wanted BTW to be a fast paced album, from start to finish & as a result the ballads were cut.
Its not like it matters though, her ballads are nothing special (just like the rest of her competition).
I am a monster to the fullest, and I agree 100%. I am let down that she chose to remake Speechess and We Will Rock You to create You and I, a Gaga ballad. I need something more emotional. Something new. Ballads are not her strongest department. Gaga really needs to develop here. I am ready for growth!
But don't get me wrong. Speechless is well written and certainly emotional. I just need something more...I guess diverse? Her ballads are very, very similar. Time for something new.
