I'm sorry but how can you guys put the Czech Republic on the same page with Russia for instance? As I imagine when you talk eastern Europe you mean Russia/Ukraine included, right?

Personally, when I say Europe I mean it in a more political sense, like EU I guess. It does not include Russia or Turkey for me. If I want to talk about Russia, I say Russia, not Europe.
I've already heard the term "mainland Europe", but I don't know which countries it is referring to exactly.
The countries that are on the main continent, so everything in Europe except Skandinavia, Ireland, UK, Cyprus, Malta
