In my opinion:
out of all the asian countries ive been to (ive only bee to east and southeast asia) 1. Japan (because its perfect; people were super friendly, lots of things to do, great food, literally it was perfect) 2.Taiwan (food is awesome and its gay friendly; people were super friendly) 3. South Korea (has a special place in my heart due to being the first asian country i visited and where i spent the most time however people werent as friendly as Taiwan and Japan and its way more conservative.) 4. Singapore/Vietnam (Singapore is much cleaner and nicer than Vietnam, they also speak english so no language barrier but Vietnam has cuter guys and was more fun to be in since Singapore's strict laws made me feel nervous to do anything, even eat outdoors)
I've only been to Japan and Indonesia, but I'm voting Japan - it's got a LOT of societal flaws that keep everyone oppressed and unhappy, but I think there's also a huge amount of pride the Japanese have in their own "private" society and they love being apart of something so unique. Fair enough too - it'd be an amazing life to be Japanese and to grow up in Japan, aside from the intense pressure to succeed amongst the MILLIONS of like-minded individuals.
