A buzz single that served its purpose very well would be Drake's "Marvins Room", Usher's "Papers", or T.I.'s "I'm Back". Not songs that go Top 20 for a week then free fall and gain very little radio support.

Aside from performing with Madonna at the SuperBowl, none of those are big accomplishments, really.
