Dev is the artist featured in Like a G6 who basically "makes" the song really good. She has the great catchy phrase that is known as the chorus. I had no idea that this chorus came from the song "Booty Bounce" which she had written prior to being on "Like a G6".
The club hit has just topped the Billboard Hot 100. And has earned Far East Movement, The Cataracs, and Dev a #1 single. Because of the buzz around this song Dev is planning to release her first Debut album soon. She is working on it with the Cataracs who originally noticed her talent and recorded several songs with her.
I think she is a really good artist. She isn't just another "Ke$ha" as some people say... she has a much more techno beat to her songs. Unfortunately I got a terrible vibe when I listened to "Booty Bounce" for the first time about 3 months ago... but some of her other material is great
It is rumored to be a collaboration debut album with songs with the Cataracs and Dev separately and then a few collabs between the them.
Don't pretend Far East Movement didn't make Like a G6 successful too.
They made it successful but just like on "Billionaire" and "Nothin' on You" the best parts of the songs were by the featured artist. Just like in this case

lol... pretty much what happened to me. I can see her easily replacing the Ke$ha persona....Ke$ha is the party girl but I think Dev can really bring something interesting
