They work very hard, but I'm sure there's fun in what they do.

I got 3 points warning for being disrespectful about a celeb in SYG , You tell me what to think.

I think they all do a good job. I think they are under appreciated and people are not always aware of the work they do here. I've been critical of certain moderators in the past, but really there was no need. They all do there bit, and it's during their own free time so it can't always be easy. I appreciate it because I personally would not like the position. My only critique is that I think some of them should be more active, some of the newer members don't know them very well because they have never been given the opportunity to get to know them.

It doesn't matter what we think. We're not TC.

I think they handle this site pretty well. But I see fewer and fewer of them online these days About them "abusing their powers" I can see why some members think that when they banned people for the dumbest reasons.

I'm not going to lie. I do think at times some of them do take advantage of their position. But overall they do a good job.

They do a great job generally but I think the warning points thing has gone out of control. Either the members have become too sensitive or the site has become stricter and it's gotten annoying.

Honestly, not trying to be rude, but it looks like they're doing nothing lately...

For example, that thread about Miley Cyrus that Speak Now started was open for almost 24 hours. 24 HOURS.

I should mention, since we just received this news today, Red and Master Shake are no longer moderators. At least one person may be getting promoted soon, assuming they are interested and available.

Well they have a really hard work on their hands, and y'all complaining but the moderators just give you warnings because SOME member has probably reported you, and they have to be fair.

My view is that ATRL has become too popular and too busy for our small team of moderators. There are over 5,000 posts per day on ATRL right now, which is over 2x as many as 2 years ago, and over 5x as many as 5 years ago.

The number of reported posts is also totally unmanageable, with nearly 100 reports accumulating at any given time before the moderators have a chance to review any of them. It's out of control.

I also believe a lot of these post reports are clutter and a waste of time. People shouldn't be like elementary school snitches about everything. People should be allowed to speak their mind openly and (playfully, not hatefully) bash things from time to time. I would like to see warnings reserved for truly offensive, hateful, or inaccurate posts.

Remember, we have only 5 volunteer moderators, and they all have real lives. They are not on ATRL 24/7. They only have so much time per day to browse ATRL, and they're not going to see all 5,000 posts and 100 reports every day.

So that's how you end up with a thread as ridiculous as "Miley Shitrus" open for almost an entire day.

I love the moderators, especially the ones who take time to listen to our complaints and problems.

I think they're doing a great job. They're definitely not as up-tight as other moderators on other music forums, but that's a good thing.

Ain't that the truth. The thing is, some of them KNOW when they're reporting just out of pettiness.

and for the last damn time, STOP SENDING ME REPORTS FROM BLOGS.

I wasn't trying to be sarcastic or anything if you think I was. I was being serious.

You're not right, though, 'cause I wouldn't take my time to read or reply to this thread (or spend any time trying to improve the site, for that matter) if I didn't care at all about what people thought about ATRL. I mean, what kind of a charge is that?

I get nothing out of this, so it would be far easier for me to just check out and leave this site to collect dust.
