Losing your job, losing all your friends, being hated by everybody and being called evil, etc. is pretty difficult for some people to cope with. If you don't accept that that's difficult for people then you need to develop some empathy for others. People falsely accused of racism are victims too. Look at Ellen recently, you know full well she isn't racist.
White people need to overcome their fear of being called racist. If they're not racist, then they shouldn't be worried about it. It's like if you're really intelligent and someone calls you stupid, you shouldn't care because you know you're intelligent and you know that person is wrong. They're just trying to insult you, upset you and/or silence you by calling you stupid. They don't care about how intelligent you really are, they just want to call you stupid. So it's the same with racism. Some people just go around calling as many people as possible racist. Those white people who aren't racist who get called racist need to stop caring about it imo.
It's getting to the point that so many people who aren't racist get called racist now that I think people will understand.
I'm a POC and I've said more potentially racist things than most white people.
