This year has been an interesting year to say the least. I found myself exploring my musical tastes a lot more than usual due to the the lack of quality music in the mainstream market. It's safe to say that there have been many surprises, bitches getting punched OUT the game and bitches wreaking havoc. Many caught my eye and many didn't.

I have the flu right now and I feel like **** so while this may help me pass time by as I get well, me updating it may be a slow and steady process due to me feeling so bad.

I have a very diverse taste and hopefully everyone will agree with many of my choices (except if you're a Katy Perry stain).

#14 Fantasia- Side Effects of You

'Tasia's 4th studio effort, is arguably her best yet. Love, pain, vulnerability, independence... damn it's hard being a woman. No secret to her, Fantasia explores the hardships of relationships and life and general. She often gives a big "**** you" to men and confesses her frustrations and anger all the while offering empowerment anthems and bops as well.

#13 K. Michelle- Rebellious Soul

Judging from her role on Love and Hip-Hop, K. Michelle is crazy as hell and 'bout that life, but her latest LP gives more than that. Though definitely rough around the edges and rebellious, indeed, K. Michelle offers urban influenced R&B serenades, empowerment anthems, and a couple of jams for the grown & sexy. Rebellious Soul delves into K.'s twisted and dark soul and offers a more intimate side to the otherwise hardcore and unfiltered bad girl.
