You couldn't be more wrong.
Not sure if you've actually seen the film, but the emphasis was on her music and talent, showing how autobiographical her writing was in that it reflected the struggles that she was going through. In fact the film is intercut with her lyrics written on the screen throughout the entire thing, and tonnes of live, rare, and never before seen performances. There is even some unreleased stuff that she had written for her intended third album.
A friend of mine I took to see the movie was actually not an Amy fan when she walked in, but since seeing the movie has listened to both of her albums on repeat and adores her.
