Beyonce Producer Talks about Experience in her Writing Camp.
- Beyonce had a camp of writers.
- It was a camp of 20 people. They stayed in the Hamptons.
- This man stayed there about 3 weeks.
- He said it is the best of the best there (Benny Blanco, Sia, etc (I couldn't hear the rest)).
- He isn't sure if he can say what he is saying now because he signed off on multiple contracts.
- He said they were at a large house and it had 20 bedrooms.
- Every room has a studio.
- Dinner is at 7 pm and they all come down and talk to Bey/Jay.
- Beyonce was cutting songs as the writers were writing .
- Later when the album was released, he read the backlist and found out none of his songs made it. He was told they changed the direction of the album and that happens sometimes so you never know.
- He wasn't compensated for going out there to write, but he says it was for the opportunity and experience. He says it changed his life.
- He said he had to have 30 songs (fully produced - beats, lyrics, etc). (10 songs per week he was there).
Yeah, writers like Priscilla Renea and others post pictures sometimes of the places they're staying at when they're writing in these camps.
Of course they don't say who they're writing for tho.
The places are literally breath taking (to me)
This isn't news she literally says this in her behind the scenes youtube videos
And lots of times writers songs don't make the cut
I'm sure plenty of people would KILL for the opportunity to go the hamptons and write songs for bey and just chill
And as evidenced by the writing credits, everyone got credit

Well obviously. I mean, I like to shade bey but if she was really out here stealing credits like people claim SOMEONE would have said something by now.
The recording process began back in summer of 2012 while she was staying with her husband Jay-Z and newborn Blue Ivy at a $400,000-a-month mansion in the Hamptons. The 11-acre Bridgehampton property, the Sandcastle, was where artists including The Dream, Sia, and Hit-Boy collaborated with the superstar.
