Eminem received a lot of attention last week (including right here at Yahoo! Music) when he turned 40. This week, fans give him a belated present: His 2002 smash "Lose Yourself" becomes just the second song from the pre-digital era to top the 5 million mark in digital sales. It follows Journey's 1981 smash "Don't Stop Believin" (which has sold 5,433,000 copies.)
This song was certified 5x platinum by the RIAA months ago but I guess they counted its physical sales. "Lose Yourself" tops the 5 milli mark in digital sales this week..
Not surprised it's such a good song, that and the fact that it spent 12 weeks at number 1. It's unusual for an artist to have their biggest song be also their best.

IKR? It really deserved those 12 weeks at #1. (Altough it blocked "Work It" )
For a song that peaked in popularity in 2002/2003 to have sold this many downloads is just mind-blowing. It would've probably sold more than I Gotta Feeling if downloads were big when it was popular (and probably spent more than 12 weeks at #1 with the help of downloads I think). Such a massive hit.
