1. Ari shouldn't have been peddling that damn hard, if she's gonna sing live.
2. I loved the visuals/set.
3. Nicki was good during her verse. Her dancers held it down while she rapped.
4. During the final chorus, Ari & Nic should've interacted with the male dancers, like they did during Nicki's last part.

This performance had alot of potential.

I love Ariana but the only two performers who could have handled that performance with that bike are beyonce and tinashe. Ariana doesn't have the breath control they do. They both train for dancing and singing live at the same time by running on treadmills

I always get lowkey anxiety when singers have to perform a simple task during a live performance. I almost couldn't watch Ari putting on that pink coat with the backup dancer

I wondered if Nicki was gonna say the "young Ariana run pop" line in front of the some of the biggest pop stars and she didn't lol.

What was Ariana doing pedaling for her life? Even the other girls on the bikes weren't doing anything when they didn't even have to sing. No wonder Ariana was so out of breath.

This concept would've been such a slay with good vocals though. I really liked the choreography.

Honestly though, while I recognize this wasn't a good performance, people need to stop acting like it was literally the worst in VMAs history. It wasn't even the worst of the night. At least Ariana/Nicki tried to do something creative.
