I know you Monsters are going to roll your eyes, but I'm genuinely curious - especially since I've never had this question answered. What honestly happened to Lady Gaga?
In early 2008, we got this:
In early 2009, we got this:
In early 2010, we got this:
And in early 2011, we got...this:
How does one go from an era like The Fame to an era like Born This Way? It's like two completely different people. Was TF a fake version of Gaga and BTW is the real her? Is it the opposite? Is it simply "artistic progression"? Has the bitch simply gone insane? Thoughts, please.
I would say artistic progression. What happened is she made a pleasing album which gained her fame, and then she basically did what she wanted with that fame, knowing that she no longer had to prove herself.
I think she's fake in general. She puts on the face she thinks people want to see. Whether it's made of meat, bubbles, or trapped inside an egg. Iconic, no?
Artistic regression.
She's just got lost in trying to be more and more weird with every look.
And it backfired BIG time.
Now she is taking media blackouts and other nonsense to fix the mess she got herself into.
I have a perfectly logical explanation for her change.
You see, in 2011, a legendary song called On the Floor reached Galatic heights of success around when Born This Way was released. Legend has it that On the Floor contained a powerful voodoo magic which forever on cursed the Born This Way era.
It's called involving as a ****ing artist. Gaga has been wanting to make a album like 'Born this way' for quite some time. There was nothing "fake" about The Fame era, she did what she had to do to make a name for herself.
She couldn't come on the scene like the music she's making now without establishing herself first as a commercial pop star. The Fame had a great & genius concept and she's proud of the success the album brought her. But she's past that and she's never returning to that style of music ever again. She's even thrown slight shade at her past music at the Monster ball. Gaga still makes pop music but just not in a conventional way.
I think she's fake in general. She puts on the face she thinks people want to see. Whether it's made of meat, bubbles, or trapped inside an egg. Iconic, no?
