I agree and disagree with this. Yes, some of these artists are indeed making songs for a demographic that they should no longer be going out of their way to cater to, but at the same time, age is more of a state of mind than anything else. And some artists are only singing from the perspective of a character, the song isn't necessarily representative of who they are. Or if it is, then they're merely speaking from the perspective of their younger selves (like Gaga in "Hair").
