So first we had Tom sis, obvious gay man, who declared as bi, and then after he had an encounter with the big D, he decided to come out as a gay man. He was gay to begin with but ok he used bisexuality as a easier way to come out, or so to say to try to save his image.

Now we have Jessie J. who says she is no longer bi, and is now choosing to be straight? Like wtf?

Are some celebs to thirsty for relevancy so they just decide to use bisexuality as a marketing thing, or are they just confused or whatever. I mean, as a bi guy I find it kind insulting. Ok Tom, may have been confused, but then again he should have just avoided whole bi thing and just said tat he is "exploring" or something. Same could be said about Jessie.

Jessie J was young when she was with a girl she was experimenting and she ends up liking guys aint nothing wrong with that. Tom was always gay that's a different story

Yes. Jessie J knew she was straight and Tom Daley knew he was gay (even the public was sure about Tom long before he would admit).

Yes somewhat. Seeing public figures like them do what they did makes many people think that all bisexuals are just confused individuals or attention-seekers.

I know there are some people the genuinely thought they were bisexual but later realized they weren't, and those people don't bother me so much but there are others that know they're fully gay, but purposefully decide to lie and say that they're bi because it'll soften the blow and I think that's complete and utter bull**** and I don't sympathize with those people. If you're not ready to come out as gay, then don't come out as anything. You have to realize that when you do something like that, people will take that and project that onto any other person they meet that identifies as bisexual and it makes life so much harder for actual bisexual people, all because you decided to lie. It's not just about you. I think if somebody is confused and isn't sure if they're bi or not, that they shouldn't come out as bi just for the sake of it. Only come out when you're 100% certain of what you are so as to avoid any confusion in the future.

Not every person is completely aware of their sexuality by 18. He truly could not have known.

I guess when you're not secure with your sexual orientation yet, you might just come off as "bi". I did that, believe me, the world "accepts" you a lot better. And of course, I was young when I did that, I was afraid of what everyone was going to say and think when I came out as a bi guy, imagine if I decided to come out as gay.

I guess women say that because they really experiment and they have a lot more of confidence to say those things. Men just say they're "bi" for the same reason as I stated above, we're afraid.

I know, that is why I hate labeling, but some ppl find it easier to label themselves as bi so they would actually stay gay, instead of just saying that they are experimenting while they are still not sure if they are gay/strsight/bi...

This is very true. I did tell myself I was bisexual though when I was like 16 because I was confused myself but I never went public with it because I didn't want to offend any other bisexuals.

Ehhhh I'm not sure. With Tom's case it's very common. Plenty of guys come out as bi first [knowing they aren't] to make it easier for them to later come out as gay. It's a known strategy.

As for what Jessie did... very disappointing.

Tom Daley probably just thought he was, and then realized he wasn't. There's nothing wrong with mislabeling yourself to figure out who you really are. It takes time for some to figure it out
