Fresh off a reunion of sorts for "In Living Color" at the TV Land Awards April 14 (show to air April 29), members of the cast will be part of another reunion.
FOX will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a special that will air on the network April 22. It promises a trip down memory lane and remind us that they were the ones who launched careers of the likes of Johnny Depp and Jennifer Aniston, among others.
Or as they put it: "Take a walk down memory lane with the network responsible for launching the careers of Johnny Depp, Jim Carrey, Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Aniston; not to mention turning 90210 into the most famous zip code in the world and adding the word 'D’oh' into the English language."
The host for the evening is none other than the host all all hosts these days, Ryan Seacrest.
"Who better than Ryan Seacrest - America’s best television host and 11-year member of our FOX family - to lead our 25th anniversary celebration," said Mike Darnell, President of Alternative Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.
Perhaps a little reminder of days past may help. A few shows as the network was getting of the ground included "90210," "21 Jump Street," "Married With Children," "The X Files," "Ally McBeal" and as noted earlier, "In Living Color." One show that was there early on is still on the air. That show is "The Simpsons."
"This is going to be an amazing trip down memory lane filled with plenty of surprises that will showcase our hits, our misses and everything in between," added Darnell.
