Welcome to my third 'Best Of' countdown here on this forum!

I cannot wait to share my favourite singles, albums and videos of 2016 with all of you and, man, was it hard to compile. After the disappointing year that was 2015 for music fans alike, I believe pop and R&B music had its second wind this year. Many of our favourite pop girls made their returns to the musical scene and I dare say they delivered! What you can expect on my charts is names you know well, people that left their mark in some way. The design for my countdown was inspired by JoJo's Mad Love. album booklet and I hope you'll be in for the Mad Countdown. that is about to come!

After multiple unsuccessful attempts at making a comeback, Gwen decided to put all ha money in the bank into the promotion for this single. Welp, she chose the wrong one, people simply failed to connect with it. And while it is extremely radio friendly, I believe sonically it is far away from what Gwen Stefani is all about.

Another single by Gwen on my chart that I wasn't particularly impressed with. It's way too repetitive and it lacks the kick her singles usually have. Seems like she played all her wrong cards this era, paying dust to the true jams on the album that could've performed much better on the charts.

This isn't really what I came for. What I came for was something different from Mr Calvin Harris and not the very same recycled production and whistle singing that's flooded radio lately. The only redeeming force here are Rihanna's vocals on the verses and amazing looks in the music video.

Bey took us south! The single version of the song features the Dixie Chicks but I think that the solo version remains superior. It was our first dare say taste of country infused pop music this year and little did we know another main pop girl would drop a whole album of the same genre some months later.

Demi brough soul and vocals to the table. A bit too much soul and vocals I must say. Nonetheless, the song still managed to convey the emotion behind the lyrics and despite the interesting concept, I believe Demi could've waited a bit with this one. #AheadOfItsTime

I like Misery it sounds like classic Gwen, so sad it flopped.

TIWYCF is really good tho. We were blasting it this summer and was one of my favorite workout songs.

Fifth Harmony made it to my Top 50 singles last year with the cute lil bop 'Worth It' and this year they got a whole album charting.

The girls are showing tremendous imrpovements in the sound and I like them more with each new release. 7/27 was a cute summery album that you can listen to while you relax but that's pretty much it.

Standout tracks: The Life, That's My Girl, Scared of Happy, No Way

What I love about a music video is a great production and artists/directors who are not afraid to go the extra mile. 'Ain't Your Mama' has all of that! And although the song failed to make it on my Singles Chart due to its uninspired production and overall sound, its visual caught my eye for sure.
