One Direction have claimed the fastest-selling UK album of the year so far.
The boyband's latest collection Midnight Memories has sold 187,660 copies so far this week, with a further 48 hours of sales yet to be added to that total.
It means they have already bettered the UK's previous fastest-selling album of 2013, which was Daft Punk's Random Access Memories, reports Music Week.
The French duo's latest album shifted 165,091 copies during its first week on sale back in May.
Midnight Memories has also beaten One Direction's first-week sales for their previous two albums.
Their debut Up All Night sold 138,631 during its first week back in 2011, while follow-up Take Me Home sold 155,316 copies in week one back in 2012.
What's more, One Direction's Midnight Memories is currently over 100,000 copies ahead of its nearest rival, which is Gary Barlow's Since I Saw You Last. (source)
Slay a biT Wouldn't be surprised if they topped 200k by the time the chart is published on Sunday.
