Should Broadcast shows become like Cable shows?
So, I was thinking about it, and cable channels like HBO, Showtime, and even streaming networks like Netflix all air TV Seasons for only about 9-13 episodes a season, and you only get the 1 season a year. A lot of these shows have been successful and generate more interest since they're away from the air longer. Broadcast channels generally run TV shows for 20-23 episode seasons. Broadcast ratings are dropping more and more every year with streaming and on demand taking off. People don't watch TV like they used to, and having smaller seasons would get them more opportunity to air more shows and be able to take more risks. What do you guys think? Broadcast TV definitely needs a revamp!
