What? He knows what he's reporting so it's not shocking. You don't feel an earthquake coming. It just hits you. And this earthquake was not minor. It was pretty strong, but you'd have to have felt it to understand.
I'm also pretty shocked that some of you don't know, but in they're situation, they're supposed to go under the desk in case anything falls. In school, they teach you to go under your desk for tornadoes and stuff like this.
