Discussion: 45S moving slower than Diamonds. Peaked?

When 45S was first released and such with differing opinions on the quality, lots of us said it would underperform/flop 'cause it wasn't good or appealing overall. The main counter argument against that used was 'It's doing better than Diamonds & We Found Love were. It'll be huge' / 'Diamonds & We Found Love weren't #1 hits right off the bat either'.

Now.

7 weeks on H100:
We Found Love - #1 (was #2 the previous week)
Diamonds - #2 (peak at the time #2, went #1 following week)
FourFive Seconds - #5 (peak as of now #4, was #5 last week)

Uptown Funk, Sugar, LYLYD, and TOL are higher on iTunes and aren't trying to die, it seems there's no more promotion for the song + the risk of new hits in the following month and two. Is this coming for anything higher, or did it peak?

Disclaimer: I don't dislike Rihanna, I just hate the song and want it to be over.

It has peaked. The song never really screamed "number 1 smash" to me so I'm not surprised. She needs to really bring it with her second single.

Did the Navy really think that the song would pull 7-8 million sales WW a la Diamonds/WFL ? I've always said, since day one, that it would struggle to reach even 3 million.

Radio has pretty much given up on it, so no it will not peak higher than 4 at this point.

It's a flop. Worst peaking lead single by a pop girl in the last 10 years.

But it outpeaked Russian Roulette which is one of her best lead singles, and isnt it her least promoted lead of her career?

But no, pretty much nobody thought that. The song has already basically exceeded most expectations cause once again other fanbases screamed that it would flop upon first lesson.

It has already peaked on radios and will only fall from now on, whereas WFL/Diamonds got much much more air plays.

Where did I say it flopped?

I said it's moving slower than her past lead singles, and asked if that means it's peaking soon / currently.

I think the song is over. It's slowing down on radio too. Unless they do some promo I don't see it for the song maintaining longevity, at least stateside.

It can easily rebound with promo. It's selling pretty consistently.

It hasn't reached 2 million yet on media traffic and has already peaked in the biggest market. Those 5k weekly in France won't get it to 4 million sales boo.
