This is my first "Best of" How exciting!
I've decided to do a countdown of my favorite ultra-gay songs that were released this year! Now I have to admit- a few of these songs came out late 2013 with the album being released in 2014 while one was originally released in the 1980's and was released on a certain Greatest Hits album this year.
Now seeing as this countdown has 25 songs, I will be winging this whole thing depending on my mood! I'd love for people to participate and countdown with me as I will be counting down with everyone else.
Now let's start it off with the song that should've been #1 but I forgot existed until just now
This tacky euro-pop bop is pure trash. The verses particularly are so gritty and sharp- it sends you straight to the gay club watching everyone around you fleeing the dancefloor for a meth break. But I guess that's why it's great? Slap Kylie's vocals onto this sloppy bonus track from Kiss Me Once and it is hands down my biggest guilty pleasure of the year!
Probably the gayest song to top the charts this year, with no argument about it. Charli XCX already had the 14 year old twinks quivering over her and Iggy had pretty much every gay loving her at first. From the catchy verses to the chorus that everybody knows and the complete replica of Clueless trying to be passed off as paying "homage," this song is too good and too gay to not be included.
I didn't even know Shakira spoke English until this song was released. it may not be the gayest song of the year but I definitely *** out while listening to this clearly Alanis- inspired mid-tempo. Shakira was done wrong- this song should've smashed.
