I never got why it was so overrated on here. It was huge in ratings, sure, but people act like its the biggest most impactful show of all time when sitcoms like 'Seinfeld' and 'The Cosby Show' were bigger and had more impact? What makes 'Friends' so special?
Personally, I've never even heard of Seinfeld or The Cosby Show. That should be telling enough of how Friends is much more relevant to the current generation than the aforementioned shows.
