Fashionistas, Fashionistos (I don’t know what the word is for male fashion lovers. Dandy, maybe?), lovers of fashion . . . do you peruse any fashion bloggers blogs?
Some of my favorites are (in no particular order)
Ashleigh Hutchinson's
The Daleigh
Even if I didn’t peruse her blog to see the fashion, I would visit Ashleigh's blog just to look her at her abs. Her body is sick! What’s awesome about her blog is that she has a good mix of high and low priced items, but most of the swag is affordable. (She likes them expensive (Loubou’s, Lauren Marinis, Zanotti heels, tho) She’s a Target blogger (They pay her to wear the stuff), and on her, a lot of their pieces look high end and make me take a second look. In fact, sometimes I can’t believe a lot of the stuff comes from Target. Ashleigh is the answer to that pressing question, “How does one find affordable, trendy clothes while avoiding Forever 21?”
Blair Edie's
Atlantic-Pacific
Grace Kelly meets Hollister. Blair Edie’s sartorial game is just ridiculous (as are the prices of a lot of her clothes,LOL!) In her most recent
puff piece, she was described as someone who demonstrated that you don’t need a trust fund to be stylish, but fuq that; most of her ish is expensive. We’re talking high end designer, off the rack stuff, especially her handbags. OMG, such beautiful bags! (Several baby Celine Phantoms, Louis V Monogram duffle, quilted Chanel ), all worn with her signature Karen Walker shades. Low end for her is J Crew (and this one pair of tartan pants from JC Penny that I bought after seeing her in them, for which I am quite grateful, because I was about to pull the trigger on a similar pair from TopShop for much more. So she saved me some money). There are bloggers who have expensive taste yet don’t style clothes with any panache. Blair Edie is not one of them. The clothes do not wear her. She wears them.
Elizabeth Jin's
Fantasy of Miss Strangename
Now, she doesn’t update often. Hell, she hardly updates at all, but the styling talent and vision for print mixes, vintage, and color are clearly there, and looking at her
Chictopia page never gets old.
Tamara Gonzales Perea's
Macademian Girl
The Polish Carrie Bradshaw. Bow Down! She even has her own column (in a magazine, not a newspaper) Her swag is out of this world! She’s getting press in Poland, but if she were based in London, Paris, or NY, it would be a WRAP for these other girls (Rita, Alexa Chung, I’m looking at you). The colors, the fascinators, the fabrics, the materials, the risks . . . the fact that you can’t even easily identify most of what she has on! Flawless bish!
So, what blogs do you check for
