I will give detail of the reason why I think these selections deserve to be on my list. Tori Amos Night of Hunters composes a new sound a classical inspired album very distant from her previous one a Song Cycle influence by classical composers ranging from Debussy to Bach and various other this album is not for every but for those who know a little bit about Classical Music you will love this
23. Nicola Roberts -Cinderella Eyes
Nicola Roberts Cinderella Eyes Member rom Girls Aloud breaks out on her on and the this album that’s full of Gems Gladiator Beat of My Drum and I slays discographies. Nicola has the best Solo album of any of the Girls Aloud members so far.
22. Kimbra -Vows
KImbra Vows Very dissonant and unique Vows is a perfect album for quirky people like me
21. Feist Metals
Feist returns again with another stellar albm Mellow and soothing I listen to this when want to emote and relax.
20. Adele 21
A blockbuster album that has brought soulful music back to the top of the charts. An album to listen to when heartbroken, Rolling in the Deep may be one of the best racks I’ve heard in years. It’s groundbreaking and truthful honest music. I'm so glad this album is super successful t deserves all the praise it gets
19. Lykke Li Wounded Rhymes
Lykke Li Wounded Rhymes is dark and moody clam and distinctive. I adore I Follow You and Jerome great song that fill this album with classic material
18. Christina Perri LoveStong
Christina’s Bare bone songs are simple. Harmonic cuts like The Lonely, Arms and Jar of hearts leave you breathless This is an album for lovers .
17. Nicole Scherzinger Killer Love
It took years for PCD’s former front woman to release her solo debut. It arrived this year and it was worth the wait. The albums is full of hits, Though it has yet to seen the light of day stateside, I’m sure when it comes it will be just as pleasant as it was as an import. You will be Loved Amenjena and Killer love are the highlights from this album.
16 Rihanna Talk That Talk
Rihanna Talk That Talk, the sixth studio album from the Bajan sex serine came late this year and has made a he impact on my iTunes count already the most played of the year. The album was not as good as her last two but it has some hella dope tracks such as Roc Me Out Where Have you Been and Red Lipstick. This is a great addition to Rihanna’s catalog.
15. Katy B On A Mission
Katy B On A Mission I bought this album on a whim an it turn out to be a great a choice. Katy one of the many new artist of this year has a sound unlike the other girls in the game. Funky Garage Hip Pop Soul gives me teas of a younger Mary J. Blige. This album is a nice for chilling with friends and smoking a joint if that’s the type of stuff you’re into.
14. Lenka Two
Lenka quirky sound is fun and poppy, perfect for summer afternoons and nights out on the town This is one of those albums that I can bring out and forget the problems of the day You Will Be Mine and Everything at Once are the two tracks I think you should check out.
13. Britney Spears Femme Fatale
Britney Femme Fatale Britney enters a new decade with one of her best album It’s a huge upgrade from Circus more Varity than we’ve seen in her previous albums. Femme Fatale gives Britney of her biggest singles in years I’m glad she found charts success with Hold it against Me I Wanna Go and Til the world ends, she most certainly deserves it.
12. Mary J. Blige My Lie II: The Journey Continues (Act I )
The sequel two her iconic 1994 album that made her a an R&B staple is a substantiated follow up. Mary has taken her fans on a journey through her life as and relate to her so much. Mary bares on this album Empty Prayer s Need Someone have immense depth. Nobody brings out heartbreak like MJB .
11. Bjork Biophilia
Bjork Biophilia Bjork returns in 2011 with an eclectic cosmic orgy of sound. Crystaline is one of the best songs of this year Dark Matter and Virus easily follow. Bjork’s never lets up in my opinion and this album shows she always thinking of new ways to deliver her music. Bjork released a hella dope app to go along with the album it’s worth checking out
10. Beyonce 4
Beyonce delivers a new classic with 4 soulful and urban Bey’s vocals are better than ever Love on Top is a master piece as well as I Care and I Was Here. Her most defiant work since her debut
9. Joss Stone LP1
LP1 is a gem all around tracks like Karma and Last one are solid this is an album you don’t won’t to miss
8. Alexis Jordan Alexis Jordan
Roc Nation Songstress debut is full of hits Shot High Road and Hush Hush are songs that bring the joy I really love this album and artist I expect to see big thins in the future
7. Evanescence Evanescence
After a five year hiatus Evanescence returns with a harder soundhis album is epic. What You Want, The Change, Lost in Paradise and sick are the songs you should check out.
8. Florence + the Machine Ceremonials
Ceremonials is a beautiful album. Timeless songs like What the water Gave Me Shake it out and Bedroom Hymns are the highlights
5. Susan Boyle Someone to Watch Over
Susan's soft vocals on this album are so plesant to my ears. Her interpretation the Depche Mode’s Enjoy the Silence is one of the best songs of the year. Someone to watch over me is short but sweet and slays most releases that came out this year Her version of Mad Word is sad and deep I love it plain and simple
4. Clare Maguire Light After Dark
**** what the critic say this album is dope. The songs are pop perfection, I’m over the gallantry people give music critics who analyze music unfairly. This album is full of well written, well sung songs and those kunts will deal.
3. Lights Siberia
This album is the biggest surprise of the year. Lights delivers a stellar album full of great tracks. Toes Siberia and Everybody Breaks a Glass are perfect songs that **** and slay most of the stuff relased this year.
2. Marsha Ambrosius Late Nights & Early Mornings
This is the best the best album of the year Marsha’s husky voice is most pleasant. Late Nights Early Mornings the title track reminds me of something prince would make in the 80’s. I also love her version of Portishead’s Sour Time ***** and slays. Your Hands and With you are both excellent this is an album you don’t want to miss.
1. Camilla Kerslake Moments
Classical Crossover Singer Camilla Kerslake is not very well known but her music should be. Moments is an album that exudes emotion. The title track samples Art of Noises Moments in Love. The song is monumental. Camilla’s voice is one of the best I’ve herd in years. This album is a must for fans of women with classic voices. The best of the year bar none.
