Well technically last year there was 2 with Blank Space and Uptown Funk, See You Again didn't hit number one until April.
But yeah this year we have had 5 No.1's with 4 rising to #1, as Hello was a holdover from last year (like Blank Space was in 2014-15) It's a nice change, should be interesting to see in the long-run how many songs can get #1 this year. I think last time we had a year with ALOT of #1s was in 2010. I remember at one point they broke a record with a certain number of weeks that a new number song was crowned week after week.
It's interesting because the previous three years there was a MASSIVE Q1 smash that ended up being the year-end No. 1, and that's not so apparent right now.
