According to Scooter Braun, Justin Bieber's manager, and several Justin Bieber fansites that he's been tweeting back and forth with, "Boyfriend" is all but sure to post a sales debut north of 500K copies.
As of approximately 9AM CST on Saturday March 31, Boyfriend had sold over 410,000 copies.

In addition, Scooter tweeted at 1AM CST, on Sunday, April 1, saying that Bieber was "EXTREMELY close" to 500K units, with some fansites suggesting Bieber had already crossed into the 490K range.
With Beliebers preparing for a final #BIEBERBLAST trend for the song tomorrow, a sales week in the realm of 525K isn't out of the question, which would be the second biggest debut of all time, after only Flo Rida's "Right Round."
This is also likely to be the second-biggest non-holiday sales week on record, after only Flo Rida's "Right Round."
UPDATE: THIS JUSTIN: Island Def Jam recording artist Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend” has sold a total of 520k downloads this week, landing #2 in first-week singles sales all-time behind Flo Rida’s “Right Round” f/Ke$ha, which scored 636k. The track’s performance surpasses the first week of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way," which opened with 447k after only three days of release, and Black Eyed Peas’ "Boom Boom Pow,” with 465k. (4/2p)
