Gaga's album sales, tour receipts, and single sales (which demolish Lana into the pits of hell) are far above hers. How has she stolen her thunder?

For the last time Gaga is not the "it girl" An it girl is only a temporary title until she can prove herself in the music industry, it's a stage where people love you + you're everywhere, but nobody knows for sure whether or not you'll make it to see your second album. Pretty sure Gaga has moved passed that point already.

Not really. Music Industry wise, she is not "new".

I'd say Gaga stopped being the 'it' girl (which, as somebody else said, is a temporary title) before Lana debuted, probably right after BTW's massive first week. There was Adele, then maybe Katy with her string of hits. Sure they share a similar fanbase, but Lana isn't even a third as successful as Gaga at her peak.
