Hello and welcome to my 2nd Best Of! I had a fantastic time participating with my debut lists last year, and I'm so excited to be able to do this again. 2015 was an excellent year for music, which ultimately resulted in a few good songs being snubbed from my lists. These were difficult to put together!
As you'll know if you followed my
2014 Year-End Event, I will have multiple countdowns ongoing at the same time. There is only one change this year, with the Top 10 Country Hits list replacing the Top 10 Worst Songs list. Here are the lists:
Top 50 Most Played - My 50 most played songs of the year.
Top 40 of Top 40 - My 40 favorite mainstream hits of the year.
Top 30 Rhythmic/Urban Hits - My 30 favorite rhythmic and urban hits of the year. Anything that got played more on rhythmic and urban radio more than on pop will go on this list. A song that did equally well on all of those formats but is more rhythmic/urban than pop (in my opinion) will chart on this list.
Top 20 Non-Hits - My 20 favorite singles of the year that did not pan out to be hits.
Top 10 Country Hits - My 10 favorite country hits of the year.
10 Honorable Mentions - These acknowledge great album tracks or other songs that do not fit into any of the categories listed above.
Last year, I got lazy towards the end and did not finish the event until January 31st. This year, I am planning to be more organized and actually finish when I say I'm going to finish; New Year's Day. My plan is below: lol
Most of the time, I will update between 4-7pm EST on school days and between 11am-1pm on weekends/over winter break, with the occasional late night update.
