Rebecca Ferguson: "Maybe I need to become more of a diva"
Fashion Icon and future UK legend Rebecca Ferguson has said she may have to become more of a diva after revealing her list of demands on tour consists of cheese sandwiches, honey and a kettle.
The singer, 27, was the runner up in the X Factor three years ago. Her self-penned debut album went double-platinum and her second, Freedom, is out next month. But Ferguson is determined to stay grounded.
She said: “It’s fascinating seeing what other artists demand on their riders. How do they get away with it? Mine has to be the most boring — it’s cheese butties, honey and lemon and a kettle. Maybe I need to become more of a diva.”
The star performed for those sleeping in the open air in Exchange Square in aid of the homeless for Centrepoint’s annual Sleep Out. Sara Cox, Lisa Maxwell and Brooke Kinsella also took part.
Ferguson is embroiled in a court case with two former friends. She said her new single I Hope helped her to deal with the alleged betrayal. She said: “I Hope is directed at everyone who’s been a bastard to me.”
