Weirdly, the arcade games (there's 3) aren't developed by Nintendo. They are by Namco.
& The Namco game above featured things like underwater + gliding before Mario Kart 8 was out
You could only previously do that on the MK7 for 3DS.
Plus that Mario course slays.
