While I understand and feel bad that a transgender person has to use a bathroom with people who are not the gender that they chose. I've personally used a bathroom with a transman and had no problem with it but I can see why a woman would not want to use a restroom with men who can fake being trans to prey on women. If you use the excuse that trans people should feel safe well so should women who don't want to fear a man pretending to be trans to prey on them.

The North Carolina bathroom laws are nothing but fear mongering. These people are already using your bathrooms. There have been zero cases on record of transgendered peoples assaulting non trans people in restrooms. The last time I checked, the last high profile case was a Republican congressman arrested for assaulting a child in a bathroom, not a trans individual. Anyone who supports this law is simply a bigot who doesn't agree with the transgender lifestyle, and doesn't want them in their bathrooms for that reason. It all boils down to one fact, and that is, people who are deviants and perverted are going to prey on your children regardless of what sex they were born as, what gender they identify as, or what bathroom they want to go in. These people are mentally unstable, and will act upon their urges regardless of any laws, or who can go in what bathroom. The only thing you as a parent can do is watch your child more when they are in public restrooms, or simply wait until you get home to let them go. If anything, protecting transgendered peoples would make the bathrooms safer as opposed to stripping these people of their rights as human beings in this country. The statistics show that 8 out of 10 cases of sexual assault, the victim knows who assaulted them, and it clearly isn't the transgender person in the stall next to their child. The reality of it is, you've more than likely shared a bathroom with a trans person and nothing has happened. This law will change nothing, as people who are interested in acting upon their urges will more than likely do so regardless. That's why it's called breaking the law. America, you need to wake up, because clearly you are still sleeping. Let's not revert back to what happened in the 50's and 60's in this country. It seems we're always doomed to repeat ourselves.
