The AWOLNATION single “Sail” from their debut album Megalithic Symphony (Red Bull Records) has gone Platinum in the U.S., officially selling over 1,000,000 digital downloads of the hit song. “Sail” also recently reached double platinum in Canada.
The song peaked @ #82 on the Hot 100 but has remained consistent at the bottom of the iTunes top 100 for over a year, where it still sits.
Damn, Nicole. I'm really starting to notice your good taste in music now. I thought I was the only one who knew this band.
So many single-worthy tracks on their album. Not Your Fault, Wake Up, Jump On My Shoulders, and more. I love their experimental sound; it works perfectly.
The public have spoken. They are sick and tired of generic dance-pop's reign. We should be expecting a slow transition on the mainstream airwaves soon.

The problem is, once everything transitions to something else, pop producers will just pump out derivatives of that type. It's not like you're going to escape it just because we have some alternative music popping up.
