Discussion: Biggest Female Album Acts Of Past 30 Years (US) - FINISHED

1) This countdown ranks the best performing female album acts of the past 30 years.
2) Album sales have drastically fallen. As such, it wouldn't be accurate or fair to count sales and rank the artists based on that. Instead, this countdown will look at Billboard's Year-End Album Chart for each year (1984-2013), and assign points to the artists based on that.
3) Only solo female acts and group acts with only female vocals are considered. For example: No Doubt are in, the Black Eyed Peas are not.
4) The methodology is simple: A #1 best selling album of the year will earn the artist 20 points, a #2 best selling album of the year will earn 19 points, etc. Only the top 20 albums of each year will be used, this is to make the countdown manageable, and to only count the biggest eras. As such, catalog sales and small eras won't be accounted for.
5) There will be some surprises, but all of atrl's faves made the countdown.

Wont this sorta be unfair? I mean best selling albums of the year also depend on the period of when albums were released. So if somebody releases in the fall their sales are basically split up into 2 moderate positions instead of 1 great position and 1 moderate one
