Modern Era Film Countdown ★ Round One Results!
Welcome! I'm glad you decided you take the time to check out my first YTT. I've been wanting
to do a movie countdown for a while now, and I finally decided it was time to get 'er done.
Katie didn't influence this decision at all, nope. Below you'll find a description of this countdown
and how it will be played out. Although all the movies chosen will be of personal preference, I
will try to make it as accessible as possible. I won't be picking any obscene independent
French films or anything like that. Hopefully y'all will be able to participate and have some fun.
Maybe you'll even discover some new movies to add to your watchlist! If this countdown proves
to be a success, I'm hoping to do a continuation with movies from different decades.
Anyway, that's enough rambling from me. ________On with the show!
| | Every good production needs a solid cast, and this one is no different. Voting is open to anyone, and everyone. Your role is simple and fun, if I do say so myself. There will be a round of movies posted bi-weekly. Your role is to post your top three movies from the selection. Pretty easy, huh? If you missed a few rounds, that's fine. Just jump right in- there can never be too many extras. | This countdown will be done in rounds. Every round there will be a selection of ten films released in a specific year. These films have been chosen by me personally, as they were my favourites from that particular year. Throughout the course of two months this thread will be updated bi-weekly with a new round. Viewers will vote for their top three movies from said list and points will be calculated. The movie with the highest score will be automatically placed into the Top 12. Once we've gone through the past 12 years, we will have a final round with the top movies as chosen by YOU. Then, naturally, points will be tallied and we will have a list of the top movies of this century. |
Everyone in your places. Lights, camera.. ACTION!

I'm thinking outside the box. It's YTT's emancipation.

+ request countdowns - sadly - are not as popular. I them because they're more interesting.

But Razzle is the main mod whom watches over this part of ATRL most of the time. I think its fine, but that's where my concern came from at first

It's not like I'm trying to turn this entire section into a film sub-section.
If you don't like this topic then just don't enter. There's no need to revolt against it.
If you don't care to participate then please stop commenting.
Thanks Starmie!

Nobody watches over YTT. I don't think I've ever seen a warning point come out of this section other than extreme fighting. You have no reason to be concerned and you're doing entirely too much at this point.

I get that. I meant Razzle posts in this section quite often (and before Razzle, Billie Joe & JGibson (both former mods) posts in YTT still to date) which is what I meant by "watching over YTT". My post may seem like I was doing the most, but how I see it, my conclusion that this section can dwelve into other types of countdowns is relatively acceptable to have going on here.
I'm liking this conversation though because there is a stigma about YTT
---------
Any idea when the voting list will be available?

Thank-you to everyone who's been supportive of this countdown!
I know it's a change of pace, and I appreciate you guys taking the
time to actually give this a chance and participate. but without any
further ado- here's our first round. Hope y'all enjoy and have fun!
Since this countdown will be going backwards through time, our first round will be films
released in 2013! Admittedly, last year didn't have the best releases. The ups were fantastic,
but scarce. You had to dig a little deeper to find true gems; but isn't that the way it always
seems to go? I've selected ten of my favourite films from last year and put them in an easy
to manage list. I tried to get a variety of different genres and level of success.
