1. It's just too damn old.
2. I have never been properly introduced to it, so I just never gave it a chance.
3. I don't ignore them, I listen to Madonna and MJ!
4. I don't ignore them, I legitimately listen to a lot of music from these decades.
I don't ignore it. I own Madonna and The Beatles' discography. I'm just not aware/properly introduced to them I guess. I listen to all kinds of music tbh. Majority of my music library is indie/alternative music. I just post pop stuff here
We don't? Our faves are always trying to slip the 80s influences into their music. Disco was huge last year. And 60s music is kinda still around in groups like MGMT.
Most of the music I listen to are from the 70s but I also listen to other eras as well. That is so silly to just ignore it. With the Internet, you don't have to listen to the radio for music. Spotify and Youtube are real.
i love a lot of old music: madonna, kate bush, david bowie, nina simone, kylie, the ronettes, janet, the carpenters, sarah vaughan, the cure, barbra streisand, billie holiday, janis joplin, aretha franklin, the andrews sisters, prince, etc.
As well as tons and tons of other individual songs from those decades.
I feel that most music simply doesn't age too well, though. Music from those decades, largely, is not relevant to our generation and also doesn't have any nostalgia attached to it.
I listen to some Joni, Carly, Madonna, Cher, Kylie, Whitney, Bowie, Springsteen. Not really a lot (for all of them). I want to get more into them, plus Carole and a few others.
I was never really introduced to older music, so the stuff that I do listen to is what I've looked up for myself. And, frankly, I tend to find it more interesting to follow current artists, so I haven't looked up a ton of older stuff. I do get a little more into it with each year though.
