Both were innovative and SCANDALOUS. But imo, BTW was the most shameless and the most original. I mean, it got the rules changed and everything! Amazon's impact just cant be stopped this digital era, when will iTunes?
I use Gaga, but Katy's wasn't first week. Katy's also was not for an album, and advertised for everyone to see. Katy's song has already also went #1 regardless, and it doesn't count towards it's sales.
Roar is already selling well on its own, so it's not "shameful" for her or her label, honestly. She's #1 on Hot 100, Digital Songs, OnDemand Streaming, etc. Why would she feel the need to "cheat" for something when everything's already accomplished?
She already has many multiplatinum singles to her name. She has nothing to gain from this.
