With the hullabaloo blurring Kelly Clarkson's traditionally tabloid-free image surrounding command of her music for upcoming third CD "My December" against alleged reproach of label boss Clive Davis, stakes are monumental for second single "Sober." Previous "Never Again," while a top 10 download, got a rare sniff of disinterest from top 40, peaking at No. 21 on Pop 100 Airplay—perhaps because of its unnervingly hostile ramrod of a lyric. "Sober" is a better bet to propel the pop queen back to the top with affecting downtempo velocity, a doleful message of overcoming temptation and a vocal inflamed with convincing pensive emotion. Radio has a strong historic ally in Clarkson's might to ignite the airwaves. The best song of the MD is out, is beautiful, hypnotic, and I do think it will be big for her.....
Video rumors are expecting the release to mid July........

Right now its all base on airplay, airplay that started less than a month, so its still gaining it.....
You will not be able to call "Sober" a flop maybe until August......

And August?!?! A song should NOT take that long to take off. The song has been out for close to a month and has already lost its bullet. 'Avril's 'When You're Gone' went for adds last week and has a +400 bullet. DON'T MAKE EXCUSES UP!
Thats a good reason............we will have to wait, cause some songs take their own time to grow on the radio, and end being huge............so dont let haters kick your hopes....especially one like this..........

That's true. I was impressed when I went to Mediabase's page and saw that Sober is already losing spins. Hope it will be able to recover when the video is out.
It's amazing to see people are already labeling this song a flop when it hasn't even begun yet. It's not available on ITunes until tomorrow. Not to mention the video hasn't even been released.
Seriously, it's the same as saying that "Say It Right" was a flop back before the video was released. Not to mention it took Avril almost 3 weeks for "When You're Gone" to do anything even after the video was out.
Once this song has been available for download, has a video, and has been promoted as the second single to the point where more than just Atrl users and Kelly fans know, then you can judge how it's done.
