Also her personality is just pretentious. She has days where she says something cute but other days she thinks she's the lovechild of Oprah and Amadeus Mozart.
Her pretentiousness. It's clear that she thinks she's all that and it's affected her that everything she does needs to be 'artistic' and over-the-top. At the end of the day, I'm here for MUSIC and that isn't what she's about. She's all about the gimmick and it was all fun for the first year or so but there's only so far you can go with that. Then there's the lack of originality. She just takes from what's already been done (e.g. Bowie, Madonna). Everyone has their influences, but with Gaga it goes beyond just influence. It's almost a clone of past pop culture - so what exactly does she offer? Overall she's a try-hard and it ain't cute. Oh and she's a one-trick pony.
That's why I stan for Mariah, Michael, Whitney, Janet, Prince, Lana etc. They make proper music (all while maintaining their artistry).
She's visually, sonically and thematically refreshing. A natural entertainer. A humanitarian & has a genuine LOVE for the arts.
I'd stan if she had a bit more urban running through her veins, but the techno **** loses me at times. Less is more in most cases.
1) Too many gimmicks that overshadow some actual talent in the girl
2) She's overly sensitive. She easily gets pressed by what people say, and it showed this era. ARTPOP was supposed to be a fun and lively time, but she's just been negative.
