2012 is a pretty interesting year since this is the first year I have actually payed full attention to. Throughout this year, many artists have made an impression on me and in this thread you'll find out which one I enjoy to listen to! Who will be on top? Adele? No. I have decided to not include Adele in my Best of 2012 because I already know I love all her songs. I want to surprise my self with a list not including any Adele at all, and in result, I hope this makes my thread more interesting to you as well! Songs will be posted and added to the starting post of this thread so we can see the list of songs in a neat manner.
I also would like to add some songs and albums this year may not technically be in the year of 2012, but I listened to the song in 2012, so that's what matters to me at least.
I'll be going a top 50 or possibly a top 75 this year! Songs will be released in either groups of three or two a day with a description of why I like that song and why it made my list of the best songs of 2012. Each Song will be rated 1 through 10 on the following categories:
Quality:
- Things ranging from the lyrics of the song, to the vocals and beat.
Likeability:
- How likable is this song? What was the first listen of the song like?
Re-playability:
- How many times can I play this song until I get tired of it?
Overall:
-How I liked the song at the end of the day, and whether it will be remembered as time transpires.
I'll also add the official video if it has one and rate it as well. If it doesn't I will just post a lyric video in case if anyone would like to listen to it.
Currently I will only be showing a measly Top 15 of Albums, unless I am able to determine other albums that is able to make it into my list of albums of 2012. Albums will be released every other day since I do not have a long list and they will be rated on the following categories:
Quality:
- How does the album hold up as a whole? Are there only a few good songs on it? Any significant themes that stands out?
Likeability:
- How likeable is the album as a whole? Are the songs easy to get into?
Three Good Songs
- The title explains it self. What are the three best songs on the album? In this category These songs will also most likely take a part in my "Best of 2012 Songs".
