I can't believe it either! This is TC's top 120 songs of 2008.

For the 6th consecutive year, I'll be counting down the best music according to me. That's right, I've been doing this since 2003, and I've come back for more. Join me for yet another look back at yet another year of music.

Ever since The TC 10 left us at the end of 2006, I've had no stats machine to help me tabulate the year-end. Last year, I decided it was too daunting a task to come up with 120 songs, so I chose to do a list of my top 40 albums of 2007.

This year, however, it's back to the old standard of 120 songs. My listening habits this year haven't been very album oriented; instead, I found myself listening to a lot of individual songs. The list you're about to see will reflect the songs I liked listening to the most in 2008, no matter their origin, so both singles and album tracks are fair game.

It's all about the music this year... front and center. The one and only main event will be a massive list of great songs! As you browse the list, I suggest you listen to the special companion TC's top 120 songs of 2008 podcast.

Look at all the people surprised at 120 songs! Where have you all been? 120 is a TC tradition. Y'all better be able to handle it. Thanks everyone, though, for the comments about my layout and graphics. The big rectangles with the 4 blocks on the side have become a staple of my year-end countdowns, somehow.

It will forever remain a tie!

Anyway, I think I'll post the first block of songs tonight.

I've done a top 100 for years, but I've always shown CC 101-200 and so forth so we're on wavelengths of equal level.

I expect awesomeness and nothing less.
